It was organized under the slogan “Gaza will flourish with Quran Memorizers,” Al-Boslah news agency reported.
The event took place in the streets of Al-Shati Refugee Camp with great enthusiasm and joy.
Being held after two years of the Zionist regime’s genocidal war in the Gaza Strip ended, it brought a sense of joy, hope, and stability back to the streets of the camp.
It was sponsored by the Ayad Al-Khair Foundation and the Kuwaiti Charity Foundation Aaliyah.
The participants walked the paths of the camp in orderly lines, reciting, Takbir and Tahlil, holding copies of the Quran, the Palestinian flag and placards, and displaying the message of resistance.
The residents of the camp accompanied these scenes on the side of the route, with encouragement and prayers; an atmosphere that transformed the war-torn streets into a place of peace and solidarity for a few hours.
Ibtisam Abu Huwaydi, a Quran memorizer who completed her memorization of the entire Quran during the war, said, “Continuing to memorize the Quran under bombardment was not easy, but the Quran has been a source of strength and stability for me in the most difficult moments.”
She emphasized that adhering to the Quran is a way to maintain hope.
Abu Huwaydi also expressed hope that her four children would be able to memorize the Book of God and called on the youth of Gaza to adhere to the Quran and reflect on it, especially in the current difficult circumstances.
Mushira Abu Watafah, a parent of one of the memorizers, also noted the children’s continued presence in the Quran memorization circles despite poverty and siege, saying, “This ceremony raised the spirits of the people and strengthened their faith in the role of the Quran in individual and social life.”

In the end, the male and female memorizers were presented with plaques of appreciation and symbolic gifts. The organizers emphasized that this initiative is part of the people’s efforts to preserve religious identity and moral values in the difficult circumstances of Gaza.
